Tacoma is very important to the maritime community, both in terms of fishing-related maritime activities, as well as large-scale commercial operations. Also, we have many clients who reside in the general Tacoma area, including South Seattle, Federal Way and Renton.



We maintain an office in Tacoma (map below) at 3639 N. Pearl Street, Tacoma, Washington, 98407, at the offices of Matt Sweeting. Mr. Sweeting also assists us on longshore matters.



Many persons working aboard factory trawlers, and injured aboard trawlers, live in Tacoma, commuting to Seattle to join Seattle-based factory trawling companies. For example, over the past few years, we have had clients residing in Tacoma, but working for: Aleutian Spray Fisheries, All Alaskan Seafoods, American Seafoods Company, Fishermen's Finest, Icicle Seafoods, Iquique, Norquest Seafoods, North Pacific Processors, Inc., Ocean Beauty Seafoods, Peter Pan Seafoods, Premier Pacific Seafoods, SnoPac Products, Inc., Supreme Alaska Seafoods, Trident Seafoods Corp., and Wards Cove Packing Company.



We have also represented commercial maritime employees who lived and/or worked in the Tacoma vicinity. The Port of Tacoma has been the site of several matters involving longshore claims, which we have been involved in, and the Port of Tacoma is home base to a number of licensed / unlicensed merchant mariners who have been our clients over the years.



We are frequently called upon to meet with clients in Tacoma at the offices on N. Pearl Street. Tacoma is less than an hour away from our Seattle main office.
Tacoma is also home to the United States District Court, Western District of Washington, at Tacoma. The Federal Court in Tacoma is frequently the location for litigation brought on behalf of our clients residing in the Tacoma / southwest Washington communities.
